  • Love and loss: People you love, miss, have lost, or feel complicated about

  • Relationships: Attachment style, communication, and connections with others

What I offer

Approach and Practice

  • Inclusive practice: I work with children, young people and adults

  • Client-centred: My focus is on the individual, promoting acceptance or development

  • No medicalisation: No one's thinking, feelings or behaviour will be medicalised.  Your thoughts, feelings and behaviour (and that of others you know) are explored in context, not diagnosed

  • Psychology works: Finding or understanding your true self in whatever situation or experience you face is what matters. This is difficult work sometimes and how you cope and move forward is the next step - not labelling what is "wrong" with you

  • Mental health diagnosis: This is a medical/psychiatric practice, not a psychological one

Qualifications & Expertise

  • As a qualified psychologist: My expertise is rooted in safeguarding social, emotional and mental health

  • BPS Registration: I am a chartered member and fellow of the Division of Educational and Child Psychology, British Psychological Society (BPS)

    • Chartered membership of BPS, DECP: This is a professional body in the UK which promotes excellence and ethical practice in the science, education and practical applications of psychology. Chartered membership reflects the highest standard of psychological knowledge and expertise

    • Fellowship: This is awareded in recognition of a significant contribution to psychology through research, teaching, publications, or public service

  • HCPC Registration: My previous registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is no longer required as I do not practice using a HCPC 'designated title'

Additional Roles & Credentials

  • Other BPS registrations: I am a BPS registered practice supervisor in applied psychology and BPS registered expert witness providing psychological advice to court in private and public cases involving children

  • Protecting the public: I hold enhanced DBS clearance and civil liability insurance
